These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the rendansportshop.co.za website and any purchase made from Rendan Sport Shop. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. They comply with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA) of South Africa.

1. About Us

Rendan Sport Shop is a registered business operating in South Africa, specialising in the sale of ball machines for tennis, padel, table tennis, badminton, and squash.

2. Use of Website

By using rendansportshop.co.za you agree:

  • Not to introduce viruses, malware, or any harmful code to the website

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders if these terms are breached.

Pricing

All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price charged is the price displayed at the time of order confirmation.

Price errors: If a product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price (e.g. R1 due to a system error), we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund. The CPA allows correction of obvious pricing errors.

4. Orders and Payment

Placing an Order

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion. An order is only confirmed when we send you a written confirmation email.

All payments must be cleared before goods are dispatched. We do not accept partial payments or layby arrangements unless explicitly agreed in writing.

5. Stock Availability

Although we make every effort to keep our website inventory updated, occasionally items may be out of stock. If a product becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, we will:

  • Offer an alternative product, or
  • Provide a full refund

6. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping is governed by our separate Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery. Please inspect your order upon arrival.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, strikes, government actions, pandemics, load-shedding, courier disruptions, or supplier delays.

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, you may approach:

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Your continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Every ball machine sold by Rendan Sport Shop comes with a manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty operates alongside — and does not replace — your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

2. What's Covered

Our warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
  • Mechanical failures under normal use (e.g. motor failure, faulty switches)
  • Electrical components that fail within the warranty period
  • Defective parts identified within the warranty period

3. What's Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, or negligence
  • Damage from improper installation, modification, or repair by unauthorised persons
  • Normal wear and tear (e.g. tyre wear on ball feed mechanisms, gradual battery degradation, ball wear)
  • Damage from exposure to rain, dust, extreme temperatures, or improper storage
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality (e.g. scratches, fading paint)
  • Consumables such as balls, batteries past their natural lifecycle, and accessories
  • Damage caused by power surges or use with incompatible chargers/adapters
  • Loss of data or settings stored in the machine
  • Cost of return shipping (unless the issue is our fault — see Refund Policy)

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If your machine develops a fault within the warranty period:

  1. Stop using the machine — continued use may worsen the problem and void warranty

  3. Provide details: order number, machine model, photos/videos of the fault, and a description of the issue
  4. Receive instructions: we will respond within 48 hours with next steps, which may include troubleshooting, repair, replacement, or refund
  5. Ship the machine (if requested) to our designated repair address with all required documentation

5. Warranty Resolution Options

Depending on the issue, warranty claims may be resolved by:

  • Repair: we will repair the defective machine at no charge
  • Replacement: we will replace the machine with the same model or an equivalent
  • Refund: in cases where repair or replacement is not possible, a full or pro-rata refund may be offered

The choice of remedy is at our discretion, in consultation with the manufacturer where applicable, and aligned with the Consumer Protection Act.

6. Proof of Purchase

To claim under warranty, you must provide:

  • Your order number or invoice from Rendan Sport Shop
  • The date of purchase
  • The serial number of the machine (if applicable)

We recommend keeping your invoice in a safe place for the duration of the warranty period.

7. Warranty Transferability

The warranty is provided to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to subsequent owners if the machine is sold or gifted.

8. Warranty Repairs Process

Repair Time

Most warranty repairs are completed within 10 – 20 business days from receipt of the machine. Complex repairs requiring imported parts may take longer.

Loan Machines

We do not provide loan machines while yours is being repaired, but we will keep you informed of progress throughout the process.

Shipping During Warranty

For warranty claims within South Africa, we will arrange and cover the shipping costs for the machine to be sent to our repair facility. Customers outside South Africa are responsible for return shipping costs.

9. Out-of-Warranty Repairs

If your machine is outside the warranty period or the issue is not covered, we still offer paid repair services. Contact us for a quote on:

  • Diagnostic assessment
  • Spare parts and labour
  • Return shipping

10. Your Statutory Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008. Under the CPA, you have the right to:

  • Receive goods of good quality, in good working order, and free of defects
  • Return defective goods within 6 months of purchase for repair, replacement, or refund
  • Have goods last for a reasonable period given the nature and intended use

Nothing in this warranty policy excludes or limits these statutory rights.
